CSIDC Teams,
Below is a message from Professor Clements regarding the Interim
Reports. A blizzard and meetings kept me out of the office last week. I
attempted to send this remotely, but just discovered that the list I
sent it to was not working. I apologize for the mix-up and delay.
As part of the meetings I attended last week, Professor Alan Clements,
Professor Mike Lutz and I met to finalize the content outline for the
Interim Reports. I expect to receive the final message from Professor
Clements today and will forward the content outline to you tomorrow.
Again, I apologize for the delay in sending this message.
Regards,
Stacy Saul
CSIDC 2003 Teams,
Because there are more teams taking part in CSIDC 2003 than in previous
years, it is necessary to ensure that only those teams who are making
satisfactory progress will continue to the final stages of the judging
process. Therefore, we have asked for a short interim report on each
teams progress.
We have decided to extend the deadline for the interim report by two
weeks. The new deadline is now 21 March.
The purpose of the interim report is to ensure that a team will be able
to compete with other teams in the next stage of the judging process
when the full report is submitted. Teams that have not made sufficient
progress will be ruled ineligible to submit a final report.
NOTE THAT IF YOUR UNIVERSITY IS SUBMITTING MULTIPLE TEAMS IT WILL BE
NECESSARY FOR EACH PARTICIPATING TEAM TO SUBMIT A SEPARATE REPORT.
There is no quota for the number of teams that pass the interim report
stage.
We will write to you again in about a week with details about the
interim report. It will be a short report that describes your project,
the work you have done so far, and provides a statement of what you
expect to achieve by the time you submit the final report. The interim
report will also ask about the way in which you have organized your team
and your approach to team work.
